Part Time Dietary Aide
JOB SUMMARY: Performs a variety of tasks in relation to the cooking preparation and serving of residents and employees.
Adequate performance of duties assigned is expected. This includes, but is not limited to:
safe and sanitary handling of food, dishes and equipment.
Handling of tableware and flatware in a manner that will assure maximum cleanliness.
Adherence to White House Nursing Home, Inc. policies and procedures.
Execute tasks as assigned by supervisor and/or cook in a timely and efficient manner, and in the order of sequence instructed.
Stand, walk, bends and carry when performing assigned duties.
Willing to perform repetitive tasks. Exercises some initiative in maintaining the kitchen in clean and orderly condition. Ability to work with others and to perform a variety of assigned tasks under supervision. Skill in, and ability to learn, operation of equipment.
Education and Training: Ability to follow oral directions.
Experience: Some kitchen experience desirable. On the job training given.
Job Knowledge: Must know how to read diet cards. Should have some kind of mechanical ability to be capable of operating dish washing machine.
Dish, tray and flatware washing, including wrapping of cleaned silverware and neat return of washed items to appropriate place.
